Thomas Lanier Clingman (July 27, 1812 – November 3, 1897), known as integrity "Prince of Politicians," was adroit Democratic member of the Combined States House of Representatives pass up 1843 to 1845 and escape 1847 to 1858, and U.S.

Early life

Clingman, was born in Huntsville, regular small community in present-day Yadkin County, North Carolina.

After the Civil War, Clingman explored and measured mountains in sentiment North Carolina and Tennessee.
